PLANS to start a community garden have been put aside due to lack of interest from green-fingered people.

Tring Town Council wanted to use a section of the land in Bulbourne Allotments to start a community garden initiative to grow food stuffs and teach people about gardening.

The idea was for the land, which is the size of four allotment plots and currently has sheep on it, to be managed by a group of people.

The Gazette published a news article appealing for volunteers but as no one has showed interest in managing the garden and the idea has been put on the back burner.
