HUNDREDS of people turned out to enjoy a variety of fun games at the Wilstone Alternative Olympics yesterday (Sunday).
The event, which attracted almost 1,000 people, saw the whole community join together to raise funds for the upkeep of the village hall.
One of the organisers Jill Walker said: “The weather was lovely, we were lucky. We had the best turn out ever and the dog show brought in more than £200 compared to £50 last year.”
As well as the dog show there was a children’s bicycle decorating competition and a village photograph for people to take part in.
There was entertainment by The Hemel Hempstead Brass Band while The Wilstone Showgirls and a Barry White look-a-like performed My Everything.
Organiser Phil Buchi said: “It was a jolly good show and it was great when the Showgirls did a second performance and got about 30 members of the audience up to join in with the dancing.”
