A residents’ association formed in response to a proposed housing development in west Hemel Hempstead is holding its third meeting.

The West Hemel Action Group, which is opposed to the LA3 development on Green Belt land between Pouchen End Lane and Chaulden, has also invited Michael Nidd of the Campaign To Protect Rural England as a guest speaker.

The group hopes up to 150 people will come to the meeting at Chaulden Infants’ School this Sunday at 7pm.

Dacorum Borough Council’s Leida Smith said: “We estimate that land for around 1,550 homes needs to be found on new Green Belt sites including land at west Hemel Hempstead.

“The development at LA3 has been agreed in principle and we are consulting with our communities to best shape the developments the borough needs. Details of the developments have not yet been agreed. We will be holding public consultations.”
