Only a plonker would miss out on the conkers, when Boxmoor Autumn Fayre and Conker Festival return on Saturday and Sunday.

The fayre runs from 11am-3pm, with chainsaw carving demonstrations, as well as more traditional hand carving and wood turning.

And the conker festival takes place from midday, with entries in the tournament being taken from 11.30am.

There are competitions for juniors (aged eight-11) and seniors (12-plus), with medals for the winners.

Entertainment will come from The Jolly Jazzers, archery with the Berkhamsted Bowmen, crossbow sucker darts, and pottery and circus skills workshops.
