A group of teenagers are spending their summer holiday organising a community event to benefit six different charities.

Molly Bayliss, 16, of Adeyfield, is one member of a team of 14 behind Rock For A Reason, a free music concert to be staged on September 8 at Hemel Stags Rugby Club.

The project is part of the team’s National Citizen Service challenge, which first involved an action-packed residential break. They now aim to raise awareness and money for good causes including Rennie Grove Hospice Care and the Hospice of St Francis.

Molly said: “Without this I wouldn’t have done much with my summer. It has given me something positive to do and I have made many new friends.” If you are interested in performing at the event, email mollybayliss@hotmail.com.
