A TOTAL of 30,000 people enjoyed the family fun on offer at this year’s Herts County Show.
There were falconry displays, craft demonstrations, animal shows, musical performances, vintage vehicle displays, extreme sports and competitions during the two day event, held on Saturday and Sunday.
Show secretary Mike Harman said: “We are very pleased with it.
“All the feedback we have had so far has been very positive. It was just a good weekend for everybody.”
The competitions covered cattle, sheep, horses and ponies and show jumping.
There was also a poetry writing contest for children, which gave youngsters the chance to bag cash for their school and a class trip to Willows Farm Village in London Colney.
Every year the Herts Agricultural Society hosts the event at the Herts Showground in Redbourn, near Hemel Hempstead, to promote farming and agriculture.
