Time to stop the motorists speeding through your village

People who feel strongly about drivers speeding through their village now have the opportunity to take action.

Pitstone, Cheddington, Ivinghoe and Marsworth are among the 11 Buckinghamshire villages staging Speedwatch demonstrations this month to encourage residents to form surveillance groups.

There will be events in Ivinghoe on Wednesday, September 26 from 4pm to 6pm, and in Marsworth on Wednesday, October 3 from 4pm to 6pm.

The demonstrations are all part of a £13,000 initiative by the Great Brickhill, Wing and Ivinghoe Local Area Forum (LAF) to help residents tackle speeding through villages.

The LAF would like to form Community Speedwatch groups in each of the 11 villages, and to buy three vehicle activated speed warning signs, which can be moved around sites in villages to encourage drivers to stick to speed limits.
