A vehicle reported stolen in Cheshire was found dumped in Hemel Hempstead later the same day.

An Iveco tipper lorry was discovered by police on Tile Kiln Lane on Sunday after a call from someone passing by.

It had been stolen at 7.20am from a coal yard in Cheshire, north-west England, after crooks forced the gates. Herts Police recovered the vehicle, thought to be a coal delivery truck, on Monday and Cheshire colleagues will continue the investigation.
