  • New toy shop which came to town just last week is named as one of the best companies to work for
  • The Entertainer ranks at number 82 in the Sunday Times’ top 100 list
  • Founder says it is an honour he won’t take for granted

The Entertainer, which opened in the Marlowes Shopping Centre in Hemel Hempstead last weekend, has been named as one of the top 100 companies to work for.

The toy retailer was ranked at number 82 in the poll by The Sunday Times newspaper.

The Entertainer was founded in 1981 by husband and wife team Gary and Catherine Grant and is due to open its 100th store in nearby Aylesbury next weekend.

Mr Grant said: “To be included in The Sunday Times’ top 100 companies list and being recognised and appreciated by our employees is an honour that we won’t take for granted.”

The store in Hemel is open Monday to Saturday from 9am to 5.30pm, with late opening until 7pm on a Thursday.

Doors to a ‘world of wonder’ flung open last Saturday as SpongeBob Squarepants opened the new store.
