HIT period drama Downton Abbey is one of the latest shows where people can spot former students from Tring Park school for performing arts.
The school’s principal Stephan Anderson has spoken of his pride that both Jessica Brown Findlay and Amy Nuttall are starring in the award-winning series.
He said: “Jessica and Amy always showed real determination, talent, presence and charisma.”
Amy, who plays Downton Abbey’s housemaid Ethel, left Tring Park in 1999 and has since enjoyed a successful television and stage career, most notably playing man-eater Chloe Atkinson in Emmerdale for five years.
In Downton Abbey, set during the First World War, 28-year-old Amy’s character Ethel gets herself in trouble after she engages in more than talk with an officer in the house.
Amy’s fellow Tring alumni Jessica, aged 28, plays Lady Sybil Crawley in the series and is enjoying her first taste of the big screen with the lead role in British movie Albatross, which was released on Friday.
Mr Anderson said: “It is so encouraging to see so many Tring Park alumni doing so well. These people are an inspiration for our current students.”
