Adeyfield School becomes St Jude’s for a day as film crew shoots football hooligans flick
Filming of Stars of The Hooligan Factory around Hemel Hempstead. Picture by Jim Garnett.
A Hemel Hempstead secondary school was one of the locations chosen by a film crew shooting a tongue-in-cheek flick about football hooligans.
Crews, who had already shot scenes, at The Greenacres Tavern pub and Hemel Hempstead Town Football Club, descended on Adeyfield School on Saturday.
Stars of The Hooligan Factory is a parody of movies such as The Football Factory and Rise Of The Footsoldier.
It follows the story of Danny, played by Jason Maza, the son of a convicted football hooligan looking to gain a notorious reputation of his own.
On Thursday film crews were at the Bennetts End pub in Leys Road, before moving onto the football club in Vauxhall Road the following day.
At Adeyfield School one scene involved police officers arresting a man and putting him in the back of their van.
As part of the filming, the school’s main sign was changed to read St Jude’s School.
