Armed siege trial date set

A man will face trail accused of possession of an air pistol and assault after an armed siege in Warners End, Hemel Hempstead.

Shane Hogan, 44, of Long Chaulden, Hemel Hempstead, appeared at Hatfield Remand Court on Tuesday, January 8.

He was remanded in custody and his trial will begin at St Albans Crown Court on February 1.

Armed police were called to shops at Stoneycroft on Sunday, January 6, after reports of a man threatening people with a handgun and power drill.
