Award's history to be illustrated at AGM

The 85th annual meeting of a citizens association is being held on Thursday evening.

Berkhamsted Citizens Association is set to hold the meeting at the Town Hall from 8pm.

For the first time in 20 years the annual Environment Award, which praises the best developments in the town from buildings to open spaces, has been dropped.

A lack of quality developments was blamed for the decision and the few projects that were found will be carried forward to next year's award.

Instead John Cook, an expert on the history of Berkhamsted, will give an illustrated talk reflecting on the past two decades of the award.

Towards the end of the meeting a open forum will be held for members to raise any issues they may have.
