STUDENT Niall Davies sat next to Robbie Savage to watch West Ham play Blackpool from the commentary box.

As the ex-pro midfielder turned Strictly Come Dancing star told Radio 5 live listeners what was going on, Niall couldn’t take his eyes off the game.

The Berkhamsted School student, aged 13, said: “In football, one moment something could be going on at one goal – and the next the ball could be up the other end.”

But he still guessed the final outcome of the Wembley Stadium game on Saturday, May 19: 2-1 to West Ham. Robbie’s guess was wrong, Niall said.

But Niall, from London Road, Aston Clinton, said: “I learned lots from working with someone who has been in the industry for years. Robbie was really nice.”

Niall was given the prize after winning an Npower competition.
