Berko's Barron helps end barren spell

Berkhamsted and Hemel Hempstead Hockey Club's top team made it two wins in two days to help them forget last week's defeat.

Despite going behind to a Rickmansworth short corner on Saturday, Berko levelled when captain James Barron got them back in it with a short corner strike of his own.

Ricky tapped in number two just before the break but three second half goals gave Berko the win.

Simon Leathem's team talk made the difference as two super Peter Allam strikes were sandwiched by Tim Westley's effort.

They followed that with another win on Sunday, James Barron leading the way again against Southgate Adelaide.

Berko's best struggled failed to find the finishing touch until the skipper exhanged passes with Allam and fired home from close range to cap off a wonderful weekend.
