A cycling duo raised £300 for the upkeep of ancient churches by cycling between 25 of them.

Andy Fisher, 51, of Halwick Close, Hemel Hempstead, rode 40 miles with school student Mark Wilson during the event last Saturday.

They went to churches in Hemel Hempstead, Little Gaddesden, Potten End, Bourne End, Berkhamsted, Aldbury, Tring and Wigginton, during a fundraiser for Beds and Herts Historic Churches Trust.

The cash they raised in sponsorship will pay for the upkeep of ancient churches in the two counties.
