Blue Peter star's nursery visit

A former Blue Peter star turned up at a nursery to support its Sport Relief fundraising.

Presenter Matt Baker, who lives near Tring, visited Tring Park Day Nursery at the town's cricket club as it raised around 2,000 for the campaign.

The 32-year-old father-of-two is a Sport Relief ambassador and helped the children while they took part in sack races.

Mr Baker, who recently visited Bangladesh for the campaign, said: "It is good to make the link and say I went to Bangladesh and see the importance of the work that has been done and any opportunity to see people doing stuff for Sports Relief is really inspirational.

"Lots of people go to great extremes to push themselves and to have lots of two-year-olds trying this is fantastic."

Nursery business manager Carol Ball said: "It has been absolutely brilliant.

"The kids and parents have had a fantastic time.

"It is really nice of Matt to come down here and help out."
