THREE brothers will take part in a gruelling assault course to raise money for charity.

Former Tring School pupils David, 26, Chris, 29, and Stephen Icke, 23, will take on Tough Mudder, a 10-12 mile Kettering-based army assault course, in aid of the Cystic Fybrosis Trust on Sunday, May 13.

They will join friend Gary Nightingale to form a team called Conquer your Fears.

David said: “I know first-hand the harsh reality of the effects of Cystic Fibrosis, as I see my beautiful wife Emily battle so bravely each and every day of her life fighting this illness.

“She is in desperate need of a double lung transplant and is doing all that she can to get on the transplant list to give her the opportunity of recieving that gift of life that we all take for granted.

“Cystic Fibrosis sufferers have a mental and physical challenge on their hands every day of their lives fighting the terrible and life-threatening symptoms.”

The team has raised £400 so far towards their £2,000 target. The condition is one of the UK’s most common life-threatening inherited diseases, affecting more than 9,000 youngsters by clogging vital organs with mucus.
