Canal overflowing in Berkhamsted

Waterways maintenance teams are on their way to Berkhamsted this afternoon after reports that the Grand Union Canal is overflowing behind the town centre Waitrose store.

A spokesman from the Canal and River Trust said it is not yet known what is causing the problem but suspects it could be the result of vandalism.
