Case dropped against priest

A rape case against a Catholic priest has been dropped by police.

Father Tim Bugby - a 58-year-old priest at St Mark’s Catholic Church in Holybush Lane, Hemel Hempstead - was arrested on June 27.

The Metropolitan Police has since released the priest with no further action on the advice of the Crown Prosecution Service.

He had been accused of raping a 19-year-old man back in 1985.
