Champion prizes at darts marathon
Darts fanatics can bid to stand on the oche with a sports superstar at an event in memory of a pub regular.
A match with last year's British Darts Organisation (BDO) champion Ted Hankey is being auctioned at the 24-hour dartsathon in memory of Gary Giddings, who died aged 45 of Leukaemia in September.
The event aims to keeps the darts flying from 9pm on Saturday (March 27) until 9pm on Sunday and is open to the anyone in pub opening hours.
Darts team members will play matches from 12-8am.
Proceeds will go to Iain Rennie Hospice at Home and Oxford Radcliffe Hospital's Dr Littlewood Haematology Trials Fund.
Mr Giddings, of Rosebery Way, Tring, was a keen darts player in the pub.
His wife Paula said: "He would not believe all these people would do this in his memory."
