The BFI Film Academy will help teens develop their film-making skills thanks to sessions run by Elstree Studios and support from lecturers in the university’s School of Creative Arts.

Running at weekends, from Saturday, January 26 to Sunday, March 3 in Hatfield, the course includes script writing, animation, editing and marketing.

Tricia Bryan said: “We’ve designed a project that would be be fantastic for any young person who wants a career in film.”

The university’s school and college Liason team has been working with Dacorum secondary schools to encourage young people to apply.
