Dog stolen from Berkhamsted garden

A dog has been stolen from a garden in Berkhamsted.

Two women were seen walking away with the long-haired, six-year-old Golden Retriever after grabbing her from a Hazel Road property between 3pm and 4pm on Wednesday, November 21.

One of the women had short, grey hair and was described as older and the other was of heavy build with brown, shoulder-length hair.

The dog, called Chase, has a slight limp in her rear left leg.

PC Mark Procter is investigating and said: “The victim is really keen to get Chase back with him.

“I would like to ask anyone who lives in the area near Hazel Road to think back to that date and contact me if you believe you witnessed any suspicious behaviour.”

He also said anyone who thinks they may have seen the dog since or who can identify the women should ring him.

If you can help, phone him on 101 quoting crime reference D2/12/939.
