Don't like to pay to park? Try walking
Hospital bosses have introduced photo guides showing walking routes to Watford General.
West Herts Hospitals NHS Trust gives two routes on its website, one from the town centre and the other from Watford railway station.
However, the trust also puts a disclaimer against the routes, stating: "If you do decide to follow one of the suggested routes, you do so at your own risk and West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust cannot accept any responsibility for any accident, mishap or incident that may occur when following any of the suggested routes listed on this website."
The trust says more walking routes are on the way, coinciding with a new policy of charging staff to use the intersite bus service, which was formerly free, and an increase in the cost of parking at hospitals.
