England slot filled for our World Cup

Father of two Ian Durham watched England win the World Cup in 1966 while perched on his father's knee.

Now the 47-year-old Hemel Hempstead man is taking pride of place on the Gazette's World Cup panel.

Ian, who is a dispatch warehouse manager from Stratford Way, Boxmoor, will be following the ins and outs of the summer tournament and reporting his thought back to our readers.

The Gazette is compiling a panel of people from all 32 countries taking part in the celebration of football as we seek to promote football harmony in the town.

England panelist Ian describes himself as a die-hard Chelsea fan who is optimistic about the national side's chances in the tournament.

If you would like to represent one of the other sides in the tournament, send an email to david.tooley@jpress.co.uk to get further details.
