Ever wand-ered how to make Potter props?

A mum-of-two will show the public how she made Harry Potter wands in a week-long event at the studio where the movie series was made.

Hannah Getley, 38, of Bourne End Lane, Bourne End, also made brooms, fake cakes and Death Eater masks for the British film franchise.

She met her husband Adrian, 45, while they made props for the first Potter film. They now have two children – Honey, three, and Pearl, one.

Hannah said: “We always joke and say Honey is a child of Hogwarts as without Harry Potter she would not be here. She is a genuine Harry Potter baby.”

Hannah and Adrian became an item while working on the second film in the series, Harry Potter And The Chamber Of Secrets.

Hannah became pregnant while working on the last two films in the franchise, Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part 1 and Part 2.

She will return to the Warner Brothers Studio, formerly Leavesden Studios, from Saturday to Sunday, February 24, to show people visiting its Harry Potter Experience how wands are made.

Hannah – who has also worked on James Bond film The World Is Not Enough and The Pirates of the Caribbean – has now launched a face-painting company called Starface.

She hosts Harry Potter-themed parties with wands and face-painting for children, and does Death Eater-inspired (‘but less scary’) lace masks for hen parties.
