Fakes seized in Bovingdon Market raid

Thousands of market fakes have been confiscated in the county's biggest ever seizure of illegal goods.

Clothes, shoes and CDs were removed by police and Trading Standards officers when they swooped on Bovingdon Market on Saturday, March 6.

Stallholders are now being interviewed and could be facing unlimited fines or up to 10 years in prison.

Herts community safety boss Keith Emsall said fake market goods 'ripped off customers and hurt legitimate businesses'.
