Firefighters rushed to the scene of a blaze in Water End this morning (Tuesday).

When they arrived at Noake Mill Lane at about 8.20am, crews found the ducting of a single-storey industrial unit alight. They had put out the fire by 9.25am.

> Firefighters were called to Aragon Close, Woodhall Farm, at 6.30pm last night to put out a wheelie bin that had been set on fire.

And at 9.20am yesterday, crews raced to Lamsey Road, Bennetts End, where a woman was locked outside her house while her five-month old baby boy was inside.

Firefighters used a ladder to climb up to and through an open first-floor window. The youngster did not come to any harm.
