editorial image

An arson investigation has been launched after the cabs of two fuel tankers went up in flames.

Luckily firefighters managed to stop the blaze from spreading to the actual fuel tanks of the vehicles, which were parked at a farm in Sarratt Road, Sarratt.

There were also butane cylinders nearby.

Emergency crews from Hemel Hempstead, Rickmansworth, Watford and Garston went to the blaze just after 7.30pm on Wednesday.

The cause of the fire has been logged as deliberate or doubtful and Herts Police is now investigating.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the crime unit in Rickmansworth by calling the police non-emergency number 101.
