A gardening good cause that offers opportunities for adults with learning difficulties has picked up three gongs.
All three of the Sunnyside Rural Trust’s sites have been presented awards in the Royal Horticultural Society’s It’s Your Neighbourhood scheme. Trust chief executive Keely Charlick said: “This is welcome recognition for the hard work carried out on the sites by our trainees, staff and volunteers”
The Hemel Food Garden bagged a ‘developing’ award, while the trust’s base at Northchurch has been given a gong under the ‘thriving’ category for a second time, while the Ivy House Lane activity centre in Berkhamsted was given an accolade in the same category.
