Get growing to garden show

A green fingered guru will be teaching eco-conscious gardeners how to grow vegetables on Thursday.

Expert gardener John Negus, who writes for Woman's Weekly and contributes to the Daily Mail, will be a Berkhamsted Civic Centre from 7.30.

Mr Negus will give top tips on how to grow veg, the best way to thwart pests and diseases and coping with difficult soils.

The event is being organised by Transition Town Berkhamsted (TTB), which is made up of a group of eco-minded residents who are trying to encourage the rest of the town to become less dependent on fossil fuels.

On the night there will be a quiz and a suggested 3 entry fee donation. For more information visit www.transitionberkhamsted.org.uk
