Half term ice fun helps sick children
MCHG 12-893 Children and staff enjoying Fun Day at Planet Ice, Hemel Hempstead.
A Hallowe’en-themed family fun day pulled in almost £400 for a children’s charity.
Planet Ice at Jarman Park, Hemel Hempstead, hosted the event last Wednesday in aid of CLIC Sargent.
There was apple bobbing, pumpkin decorating, face painting and other fun for little ones along with ice skating taster sessions for beginners.
General manager Kerstin Ginn said: “Every half-term we do a family fun day to encourage family activity and we do it in conjunction with our nominated charity.
“We had about 300 people turn out which was what we were hoping for.”
Across the company Planet Ice is hoping to have hit a fundraising target of £10,000 for CLIC Sargent through half-term fun days.
The charity provides help and support to children with cancer and their families.
