Help for over-65s at Berkhamsted garage

A garage is signalling a free offer to help the over-65s keep their cars in good health.

Roy Chapman Ltd, of London Road, Berkhamsted, launched the scheme to help pensioners in the difficult financial climate and to keep their vehicles roadworthy outside of MOT inspection.

The Ford garage will check their tyres, brake fluid, pads and discs, lights, car body and battery, oil and coolant levels, air conditioning, and windscreen wipers and washers. The car will then be washed and vacuumed before being returned.

The offer should be booked in advance by phoning 01442 871234 and applies only on Thursdays.

Jeremy Chapman, the firm’s aftersales director, said: “Colder weather and icy conditions means a healthy vehicle is absolutely essential.”
