It’s a good thing that Tony’s an electrician!
MCHG 12-1042 Tony Spicer as Father Christmas, with grandchildren, from left, Bradley Lewis eight, Joshua Lowther four and Matthews Lewis nine, at Primrose Hill Kings Langley.
A good cause will foot the electricity bill for a bumper festive display that raises cash for mums-to-be and newborn babies.
Electrician Tony Spicer and his family spend hours decorating their home and Santa is there to meet little ones from December 1 to Christmas Eve.
This is the 14th year that the family, of Primrose Hill, Kings Langley, have put on the show, raising thousands for the maternity unit at Watford General Hospital. Their cash has paid for a birthing pool costing £22,000, a special care cot, fetal monitors and more.
It is Tony’s way of saying thank you after medical staff there saved wife Jane’s life when she became seriously ill while in labour with their daughter Kelly, now 24. The St George’s Day Charity Club has given Mr Spicer £400.
