Lunchtime recital is start of a series of musical treats

A lunchtime music recital by the pupils of an independent school will be held in a town centre book shop today.

The half-hour event in Berkhamsted High Street’s Waterstones will begin at 1.10pm.

Ellie Daghlian will play Bach’s Sonata BWV 1034 in G Major on the flute. Her brother Marcus will perform Tarantella by Milde on the bassoon, and Tash Berg will play Marcello’s Oboe Concerto in D Minor.

There will also be classical music recitals from Berkhamsted School students from 1.10pm in Berkhamsted Library on Wednesday, February 27; from 1.10pm in the chapel of Berkhamsted School Kings Campus on Tuesday, March 5; from 3pm in Berkhamsted Prep School’s Churchill Hall on Monday, March 11; and from 1.10pm in St Peter’s Church on Friday, March 22.

All events are free to get into and there is no need to pre-book. There will be collections for the church’s funds during the March 22 performance.

Where performances are due to be held on a school campus, directions to them will be signposted from reception.
