A Russian man has pleaded not guilty to raping a woman at Jarman Park in Hemel Hempstead.

Andreas Kulikauskas, 33, also denied causing actual bodily harm to the woman on the same day.

In addition, Kulikauskas, who lives in Constitution Street, Peterhead, pleaded not guilty today (Friday) at St Albans Crown Court, to wounding a man with intent and a lesser charge of unlawfully wounding him.

He denied two charges of having an offensive weapon - a knife - and two alternative charges of having an article with a blade.

All offences are alleged to have taken place on March 19, 2010.

Judge Stephen Warner adjourned the case for a trial on February 4 next year.

He remanded Kulikauskas in custody.
