Marathon in memory of a friend
A running enthusiast is training for a marathon in memory of a friend.
Kathryn Corcoran, 40, of Newground Road, Aldbury, will run 26 miles on April 25 for Tring-based charity Iain Rennie Hospice at Home.
Mrs Corcoran will run for the charity which supported Lauren Chambers, a 16-year-old Tring School pupil from Aldbury who died of cancer.
She said: "The charity helped Lauren's family all throughout her illness.
"In a small village, when something like that happens to a family, everybody is affected by it.
"Any donation that anyone could give would be fantastic and really greatly appreciated."
Mrs Corcoran is supported by husband Mark, 37, and children Meve, 11, Ollie, eight, and Pippa, one.
