Masked raiders used distinctive car as getaway during Potten End break-in
No Caption ABCDE
Masked raiders using a distinctive car for their getaway targeted a quiet village shop.
Two men, wearing balaclavas, forced their way into Potten End’s Village Stores at around 11.30pm on Saturday.
One was wearing a dark coloured quilted Barbour jacket, while the other had on a light grey waist length jacket.
They took cigarettes and escaped towards Nettleden Road in a car that was similar in shape and size to an early 1990s Ford Granada or Cavalier.
Assistant investigator Lisa Walsh said: “I would appeal to anyone who was in the area and saw this vehicle prior to, or following the burglary to get in touch. Whilst it was late on a Saturday night I am confident someone must have seen this vehicle or the two suspects.”
Anyone with information can contact Herts Police on the non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference D2/13/159. Alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
