More delays to welcome sign

editorial image

Work to complete a welcome sign that lets people know they have arrived in Hemel Hempstead is still unfinished.

The flint and brick wall, costing £6,000, was due to be completed last week, but no work was started because of a delay involving contractors. It is now hoped the structure will be finished by the end of this week.

The sign is part of a regeneration project to spruce up the Breakspear roundabout where the Phoenix Gateway sculpture stands to greet motorists as they leave the M1.
