SCHOOL run mums are helping to make a dying young mother’s wish to visit Disneyland Paris with her daughters come true.

Parents from Hobbs Hill Wood School in Hemel Hempstead rallied together after hearing 26-year-old Kaylee Howard had been diagnosed with terminal cervical cancer.

The Bennetts End mum to four-year-old Alisha Reaveley and three-year-old Keira Reavley wants to take her daughters on a fun-filled trip before her time runs out.

She was first diagnosed with cancer in April 2010 and after treatment was told she was clear of the disease in December last year.

But doctors discovered she was ill again during the summer and told her she has just months to live.

Through their hard work the team of mums, who call themselves Mums Reunited, have already bagged free Eurostar tickets and free entry into the children’s theme park.

Now cash raised through other fundraising events, including a ball on Friday, October 7 at Hemel Hempstead Football Club, will go towards accommodation and making Kaylee’s time with her children extra special.

One of the mums, Tonimarie Miller, aged 23, said: “This is our way of showing that we care. We are doing it because she is a mum from the school.

“Kaylee was lost for words. She couldn’t be thankful enough for everything everybody is doing.

“It is nice to see Hemel Hempstead coming together as a community.

Tonimarie, of Peascroft Road, Bennetts End, hopes to give the fund a boost by hosting a family fun day at the New Venture pub in Adeyfield on Saturday October 8.

It is running from midday to 3pm and will include appearances from children’s television favourites Peppa Pig, Ben 10 and Hello Kitty.

Tickets to the charity ball can be purchased from TJ’s convenience store, Bennetts Gate.

Raffle tickets for the night will also be on sale there from Saturday, October 1.
