"We have the right venue and the right audience as we're in the middle ground between a arthouse cinema and a multiplex."

Mr Fellowes, who is writer, director and produceron the project, said: "I've wanted to make this film since I was a child because I have been in love with the Green Knowe books from when I was first given them by an aunt at a very young age,"
He tried to develop the project several years ago, but it was only after winning an Oscar for writing Gosford Park that he was able to raise enough money to finance the film.
The film will be showing at the Rex on October 3 and 4 in the evening, with a matinee performance on Sunday October 3.
Mr Fellowes will be attending on the Sunday and hosting a question and answer session after the 6pm screening.
