Ambulance crews are urging people to take extra care when travelling to and from schools and work this afternoon (Tuesday).

The East of England Ambulance Service is warning motorist to take care on the roads after being called out to a spate of road accidents this morning.

Ambulance spokesman Gary Sanderson said: “Unfortunately we have attended several road traffic collisions due to the fog and icy conditions.

“The temperature is already below freezing and with fog falling fast it will make the visibility for driving very difficult. We are urging drivers to allow plenty of time for travelling and watch your speed.”
