Parish backs Bull pub plans

Plans to convert an historic village pub into three apartments has been given the backing of parish councillors.

But Bovingdon Parish Council says its backing is subject to development at The Bull pub in Chipperfield Road being sympathetic to a neighbouring 14th century cottage. The proposal also includes plans for two three-bedroom houses on the land.

A previous application to demolish the pub to make way for homes was refused in 2011 by Dacorum Borough Council.
