Pert proves his point for super seconds

Russell Pert proved his worth to Tring Hockey Club's IIs.

The men's second team beat Abingdon 4-2, Pert scoring a hat-trick and Tom Burrows adding a fourth.

The top side won 9-2, the IIIs were awarded a walkover against Ramgharia, the Development side lost 3-2 to Slough and the Vets beat Sevenoaks 3-1 thanks to Steve Collins, Nick Zagni and Gary Arthurs.

The top ladies side lost 3-1 to Shefford & Sandy, Beckey Capstick their scorer.

The IIs came away from their game with St Albans with a 7-2 win. A Katie Haines hat-trick, two from Jenny Birch and one each from Zoe Ainsworth and Tracey Hockley gave them all the points.

Katie Hart was the only IIIs player on target in their 5-1 defeat to Shefford & Sandy.
