Police in hunt for ‘burglar quartet’

Police have appealed for help as they hunt for four men in the wake of an attempted burglary in Hemel Hempstead.

The quartet got into the garden of a house in Crossways and tried to force open a rear door between 6.15pm and 6.35pm on Tuesday, March 12. They smashed a window before being disturbed by a neighbour.

They got into a dark coloured estate-type vehicle in nearby Leverstock Green Way and drove off.

They all wore dark hooded tops with the hoods up, dark trousers and black baseball caps. Anyone with information can call the police on the non-emergency number 101 quoting crime reference D1/13/1543.
