Prepare for congestion

Motorists may be faced with seven weeks of travel chaos while parts of Berkhamsted High Street are dug up.

Traders will also be hit as flashing signs dissuading people from travelling to the town are set to be installed on the A41 bypass.

As part of a 30-year plan to replace old iron gas mains across the country, National Grid is going to work on 160 meters of piping on the south side of the High Street from the Civic Centre to Kings Road and Lower Kings Road.
