Racers row, ride, run and get lost at village triathlon
Competitors rowed, cycled and ran - and even got lost - at a charity triathlon event.
Around 75 athletes of all abilities turned out to take part in the second annual Aldbury event, which raised around 6,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support on Saturday.
Entrants took on the challenge of a 3km row followed by a 22km cycle around Aldbury and Tring and a 5.5km run.
Competitor Anthony Kent, who organised the event with Will Jackson-Moore said: "We have had a lot more competitors this year than last year and considerably increased the amount of money raised.
"Everyone seemed to enjoy it. Obviously there were some very tired bodies at the end of the day and some people who did it for the first time.
The fastest individual entrant was James Lumpkin, who finished in one hour, 18 minutes.
The quickest woman was Lucy Guest, who raced to the finish line in one hour, 35 minutes.
Meanwhile, the fastest relay team, made up of John Bradley, Will Jackson-Moore and Neil Jones finished in one hour, 16 minutes.
But Mr Kent said some competitors managed to get lost, including cousin-of-Will, Tim Jackson-Moore, who cycled as far out as Chesham.
Mr Kent said: "It took him an hour-and-a-half to do the cycle ride.
"He doubled the distance he had to travel on the bike, but all in the name of fun."
