School shows off talent
Lots of young talent will be on display during a fundraising school show.
Pupils from Hobbs Hill Wood Primary School in Hemel Hempstead are busy perfecting their acts for the big night.
Deputy headteacher Helen Wignall said: "The acts are still coming in. There are a lot of children from reception up to Year Six taking part. We've had a very big response.
"The pupils have to choose the name of their act and category and have three minutes performance time."
Budding singers, dancers, comedians and musicians will take to the stage on Saturday, March 20.
They will be judged by a panel of three teachers, a school governor and a representative from Hemel Hempstead musical group Strum and Drum.
Takeaway firm Dominos is providing pizza free of charge to serve up with refreshments on the night.
Money raised from ticket sales will go towards buying equipment for the Peascroft Road school's new music and drama department.
Clearance work to make way for the new building is currently underway and will be completed later this year.
The school hopes to raise up to 500 through the event.
Tickets cost 2.50 and can be purchased by contacting the school on 01442 401222.
