A police sergeant has retired after 20 years of service

Tring Sergeant John Hillier, who started his career in Cumbria, has finished his career in the police force.

Sgt Hillier joined the team in Tring earlier this year, having moved from Watford.

He was the first sergeant in years to be appointed solely to Tring and Herts Police are in the process of appointing his successor.
