Tories win in Adeyfield

The Conservatives have won the Adeyfield West by-election.

The BNP, who claimed good support during canvassing, were beaten into fourth place.

The Tories have held on to the seat, which was previouly held by Keith Reid, who died in December.

Results as follows:

Dan Wood Cons 486

Sue White Labour 429

Steve Wilson Lib Dem 362

Janet Price BNP 203

Turn out was 35.83 per cent.
